How to obtain your licence
The minimum age that you are legally able to drive in UK is 16 if you are registered disabled and you are receiving higher mobility allowance. For those applying for a standard B1 category (motor car) driving licence the minimum age of driving is 17.
You can obtain a provisional driving licence application form from by contacting us, your local post office or by contacting the DVLA direct on 0870 240 0009.
You can apply for your provisional car driving licence up to three months before your seventeenth birthday. However it would not become valid until you are seventeen.
